Keynote: “The Potter’s Hands”
Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 1-2:30 p.m.

For all program areas

All about how teachers truly do form the future.  I relate everything to stories about how the right potter (teachers) can do anything with any kind of clay (students). How potter’s know when to push, store, and take care of the clay.  The enduring power of pottery to last forever based on how it was formed (what we do as teachers lasts forever…and with that comes great excitement and responsibility).  I address how pottery can be dirty.  How a potter’s hands are tough and can handle anything, but yet so sensitive they can handle even the most diverse circumstances.  I will share stories to guide us in ways to avoid scarring the “clay.” All teachers will be inspired to be "potterers" during the upcoming school year.
